Playground: send yourself one real message
No key needed. Verify a phone number or email address you own with a code, write a short message, and the service sends it to you, then shows you the exact API request it made, the exact response, and the delivery report as it arrives. The rules you'll meet are the product: the playground only ever messages you, US and Canada numbers only, one message per verified address per day.

3. See what actually happened
This is the point of the playground: the same call you would make with your own key, shown verbatim (only the server's key is redacted).

The delivery report, as it arrives

4. Get your key
Everything you just did (the verified destination, the consent record, the delivery report) works the same with your own key, plus a sandbox that enforces every rule with zero carrier traffic. Self-serve sign-up is opening during launch; it isn't open yet. Until it is, contact Aric Software & Design for a key, then start at the quickstart. Free during launch, capped: see pricing.
The rules this page runs under
- The playground sends only to the address you verify, never to anyone else (
destination_not_verifiedotherwise). - US and Canada numbers only (
unsupported_region), and verification codes are capped per address and per day (verification_limit_reached). - One message per verified address per day, enforced server-side across devices and networks (
playground_daily_limit). Verifying writes real consent to the ledger, and a refusal is the compliance layer working; every one carries a machine-readablecode. Read more: the compliance layer.
